A4C has many wonderful programs. Over the last 5 years, with the encouragement of The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation we have been privileged to be part of the leadership team of Better Beginnings Waterloo. BBW is a community- led, prevention-based, dynamic program that enables children and their families to maximize those first few years of education. We are now seeing the deep impact that this program has had on many children and families. While programs are great, and activities might be wonderful, we are learning, time and time again, that it is the people who make the greatest difference and the most significant impact.
This summer Better Beginnings and Adventure4Change will continue its work, albeit quite differently from other years. In a season of pandemics and uncertainty, A4C partners with Wilfrid Laurier University on a research project to highlight the stories of parents and youth in the Waterloo Region.
