Perfect Pitch 2024 was hosted by Social Ventures Partner (SVP) Waterloo Region. After a successful application to the SVP team to be a part of the 2024 Perfect Pitch, Adventure4Change (A4C) was selected to participate. This event created a one of a kind opportunity for 8 organizations in the KW area to pitch about themselves to a wide audience at the University of Waterloo’s Federation Hall on March 6th.
The main event was preceded by six week sessions of preparation where the Adventure4Change team, Oluseun Olayinka & Jasson Kamala worked alongside two amazing coaches, Ingrid Pregel and Dave Kroestch to write a concise story that captures the essence and purpose of Adventure4Change.
The night of the Perfect Pitch became an opportunity for the A4C Executive Director to share a story of inspired hope, relatable change and impacted lives by the work of a local community led organization in North Waterloo.
The six weeks of preparation created an opportunity for A4C to network with the other seven organizations and create partnership opportunities for the future. We also had the opportunity to create an elevator pitch that we are using to share about the organization in clear and concise terms. While Oak Bridge Academy went home with the Audience Choice Award for the night, Adventure4Change and the other 6 organizations went home with cash gifts from SVP that are unrestricted funds to support the work we do in the unnoticed and often forgotten neighborhoods that we serve.
