On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Adventure4Change (A4C), in partnership with Cedarbrae Public School and Creekside Church, hosted the annual Cedarbrae Festival. A joyful, high-energy celebration that brought together more than 432 community members to mark the end of the school year and welcome the start of summer.
Set on the school grounds, the festival buzzed with excitement as children, youth, and families gathered to enjoy an afternoon filled with food, games, and meaningful connections. From soccer matches and bowling, to giant Jenga and potato sack races: the activities were designed to spark joy and build community spirit.

Of course, no celebration is complete without great food. Thanks to the generosity of Creekside Church, volunteers fired up the grills and served delicious burgers and hot dogs, filling the air with the smells of summer. Local community moms also helped serve with care and warmth, adding a personal, heartfelt touch to the meal. The Lakeshore South Community Association topped it all off by serving up freezies, a sweet cool treat perfect for a sunny day.
Beyond the fun, the Cedarbrae Festival created space for families to connect with one another and with school staff in a relaxed and welcoming environment. It was more than just a year-end event; it was a celebration of togetherness, resilience, and community pride.

Grateful for Our Partners
This event would not have been possible without the incredible support and collaboration of our partners and volunteers. We’d like to extend special thanks to:
- Cedarbrae Public School for their ongoing partnership and support in co-hosting this community celebration.
- Creekside Church for providing the BBQ grills for us to keep and the volunteers who served with generosity and joy.
- Lakeshore South Community Association for delighting everyone with their refreshing freezies.
- And to all the amazing volunteers from setup to cleanup, who did everything from cheering on kids at games to serving families meals, your time and energy made this event truly memorable.
Events like the Cedarbrae Festival remind us of the power of community and the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces where children, youth, and families can connect, celebrate, and grow together.
We are excited for what we have planned for the rest of the summer and look forward to continuing to build meaningful connections in the months to come!
